Jeff Altier, Stetson University's athletics director, says that Stetson's addition of football and women's lacrosse will add $47 million to the gross domestic product of Volusia County, in this speech to the West Volusia Chamber of Commerce. He also discusses partnerships with the Central Florida Sports Commission and hosting the 2014 NCAA men's basketball championship and the Atlantic-Sun Conference baseball championship.
