Queen Afi (Ah'phee) Gaston was born in Washington DC. She is the proud mother of two children.
Gaston has volunteered for Child Advocate for Abused & Neglected Children in PG County, the Calvary & Pathways Women’s Shelter in Washington D.C. and the Women’s Correctional Facility in Jessup MD.  Gaston is an active member of the Negro Women’s Council & Polices, Washington DC. and was privileged to have served with WPFW Radio Station. Gaston is also an active member of Johnson Memorial Baptist Church in Washington DC; Reverend Dr. Henry A. Gaston is the residing Pastor.  Gaston serves as the coordinator for the Domestic Violence Program.  
Gaston is the Founder of Domestic Violence Wears Many Tags Organization (DVWMT) based in Washington DC and Tagged with Johnson Memorial Baptist Church located in Southeast Washington DC Awareness. DVWMT meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month and are informative and educational in-person group sessions. Gaston is an active advocate and motivational speaker on Domestic Violence.  
The fight is not just between a man and women. Gaston is the host of “DVWMT’s an internet talk show” on every 3rd Thursday of the month; www.talkshoe.com/afigaston. It is important that Gaston gets the word out to as many people as she can so the cycle of abuse can be broken.  
Gaston is a “Pro-Active” advocate for reaching out to the nation to educate and encourage those who are living and have lived with domestic violence.  She works with children, men and women and willing to lend a helping hand to all those in need. Gaston knows her life was spared to be used for God’s work and has accepted the long journey to be a servant to God.
