Last year alone, employers spent an estimated 8.9 billion (or a whopping 3.2% of all total revenues) on “employer branding” related activities, an overwhelming majority of which is spent online.

But although 92% of employers report doing some form of online employer branding or recruitment advertising, only 14% of those organizations report having a defined employer brand strategy in place.

Building a successful strategy takes more than just a great brand and a great culture – it takes knowing the fundamentals of online marketing and how user experience, visual imagery and killer content translate to talent acquisition – and likely, your next hire.

Maren Hogan (@MarenHogan), CEO of RedBranch Media and one of the industry’s most in demand branding and content consultants, joins #TalentNet to discuss insider tips and tricks to making your online employer brand stand out – and resonate – across mediums and platforms.

If you’re thinking about building an online employer brand or just want to accelerate and amplify your current efforts, then tune into #TalentNet at 7 PM ET on February 18.

Here are the questions we’ll be covering:

Q1. What are the common characteristics of great online employer brands?

Q2. What impact does user experience have on online recruiting?

Q3. What do candidates expect from career sites?  What can employers do to better meet those expectations?

Q4. What role do images or visual brand play in talent acquisition?  Any tips or tricks?

Q5. What employers are getting online marketing right?  Any specific examples?
