Talking Motorcycles with AMA Pro Racing CEO Michael Lock

Michael Lock is the newly named CEO of AMA Pro Racing. Lock was a strategic consultant to AMA Pro Flat Track in 2015 and as of November 1st he takes the handlbars.

Lock most recently served as COO of Automobili Lamborghini Americas, where he was responsible for developing the business and image of the famous Italian brand. Before joining Lamborghini, Lock spent nearly a decade at Ducati, including a key 8-year period as CEO of Ducati North America. Lock also held the position of CEO at Triumph Motorcycles USA where he established the United States subsidiary of the British marque in 1994.

With an extensive background in the automobile industry and motorcycle industry he brings a wealth of experience to the CEO position at a critical point in AMA Pro Flat Track history. Many challenges lie ahead and with those comes opportunity. We go inside the thoughts of the new CEO in an attempt to gain insight into his vision for the future of the sport. Many rules changes appear to be in the offing and promotors have been asked to step up their game.
