On this episode of Role Call, Chief Brian Dugan is joined by Tampa Police Lieutenant Doug Groves to chat about the upcoming Police Unity Tour which starts on May 8.

An avid cyclist, Lieutenant Groves plays an important role in coordinating the department's involvement in the "ride for those who died."  He shares the importance of the Police Unity Tour and how officers prepare for the humbling 240 miles bike ride from Portsmouth, Virginia to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial bears the names of 21,183 U.S. law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty throughout American history.  The names include the 31 Tampa Police officers who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
