Each week, your hostess, Miss Buttafly, will discuss topics that affect the spiritual, political, cultural, and sexual wellbeing of the African woman living in America and throughout the Diaspora.This show promises to be educational, enlightening, and empowering for the listener.

This week, we're going to be discussing what it means to be an Afrikan woman. Our ideas of womanhood have been preformed for us by a system that actually reviles womanhood and femininity, especially Afrikan womanhood and femininity. Fortunately, my Yeye and mentor, Dr. Marimba Ani, author of "Yurugu: An African-Centered Critique of European Cultural Thought and Behavior," has given us a well-researched definition of Afrikan womanhood. I'm going to be sharing from her work and my own life on this show. Bring your pens and your notepads; class is in session.

OUR MISSION:

~ Reclaim our Sexuality, Spirituality, and Sensuality;
~ Reconnect with our Cultural, Universal, and Spiritual awareness; and
~ Heal ourselves Physically, Emotionally, Socially, and Spiritually
