Secular Parenting with Dale McGowan

"I want to raise my child to be skeptical and rational, but I don't want to indoctrinate my child into atheism.  What do I do?"

This question is a common one for secular parents.  They're eager to raise freethinkers and protect their children from the damage done by religion, but they don't want to fall into the same traps that many religious parents do: raising parrots instead of people.

Our guest, Dale McGowan is co-author of the books, Parenting Beyond Belief and Raising Freethinkers.  He writes the secular parenting blog, The Meming of Life, and in 2008 was named Harvard Humanist of the Year.
