VISIONARY PROFILE: Marcus Williams

Host, Gwen Witherspoon interviews independent illustrator and comic book artist, Marcus Williams. Based in Atlanta, Marcus makes a living creating art that speaks to comic fans young and old. However, his primary target is children of color. His vision is to show them what mainstream entertainment tends to ignore: images of themselves as strong, smart, and capable. His purpose is to create new and unique content that solves problems whether they be physical, mental, social, or internal. Marcus sees art as the most efficient means to challenge stereotypes and solve real-world issues with creativity.
