Host, Gwen Witherspoon interviews Rachel Davis, Executive Director of The Edge, a Collective that provides business development services for entrepreneurs on three tracks: 1) Discovery, 2) Expansion, and 3) Transformation. The Edge also houses a Women’s Business Center that is partially funded by the Small Business Administration. We all have, at some point, run into ‘the’ wall that lets us know it is time to change direction. Over two decades ago, Rachel changed direction and found her purpose helping others define their path to business.  Now in its 20th year, The Edge is changing direction, and Rachel is planning for their next 20 years with her #next20 Initiatives. Building a Community of entrepreneurs, funders, skilled volunteers, and corporate and strategic partners is at the core of her strategy. After being in the microenterpise industry for 22 years, at The Edge for 18, and its Executive Director for 2, hands-down the most important lesson has been how vital it is for entrepreneurs to have support, each other, and the confidence that they are not alone. In business, there are no guarantees for success–no magic formulas, but Rachel has seen that the chances of success are increased when a Community comes together and brings their resources to the table.
