"Jew In Jail" Author Gary Goldstein

Gary was addicted to narcotics and alcohol, as well as a compulsive gambler. In 1998, while under the influence, Gary took a toy gun into a string of dry cleaners and robbed them. For this he was sentenced to 7 years in prison.

Before Gary became addicted to narcotics and alcohol he worked for both CBS News and Sports, and NBC Sports as a researcher / producer, as well as other media outlets and sports production companies.

His father died while Gary was in Rikers Island Prison so when Gary was released in 2004 he vowed to himself to try to be a good and decent human being, the kind that would have made his father proud.
