Some stories are about ordinary people in extraordinary situations; others are about extraordinary people in ordinary circumstances. Angela's story is about both.
Five years ago, thirty-year-old executive Angela Leigh Tucker’s car was struck by a truck that killed her husband and left her barely hanging on to life. Her brain was severely damaged, and the diagnosis was that she was doomed. She could have quit but never did. Her recovery team included family, friends, doctors, and therapists. Today, Angela lives independently in New York City. The injury transformed her life in many surprising and positive ways. She is an advocate for millions of people who have survived and now live with their own brain injury. Her experience informs and inspires us all.
Deeply moved by her story, author Bill Ramsey wrote a book describing her journey - it's called "Me Now - Who Next?" We welcome both these guests to WriteSpa - An Oasis for Writers.
