Are the Gnostics are back? Shortly after the birth of Christianity the early Church was threatened by false teachers, false apostles and false beliefs. One sect vying for attention at this time was the sect of Gnosticism (also known as the Nicolaitans). Early on Christian leaders including Paul, James, John and Jude confronted this sect. Following the apostles example the early church fathers also called this sect heretical and apologetics were formulated against them and creeds, statements of  faith, were written to identify those who taught the true faith of the early apostles and those who did not. Paul speaks of a day when men will not put up with sound doctrine and will abandon the faith to follow doctrines and myths taught by demons (2 Tim. 4:1-3 and 1 Tim. 4:1). Are we now in that day? In Eden man had access to God in the “cool of the day” where they walked and talked with Him. Because of Adam and Eve's sin they were banned from the Garden and also access to God. God chose Abraham and his descendants as the people in whom God personally dwelt. They were given responsibility to make Him known to mankind. In 1967 Israel declared victory when they captured East Jerusalem, a city divided by its “occupation” of Jordan shortly after Israel was declared a State. Since its recapture Israel has vowed never again will Jerusalem be divided. “Palestinians” want to claim East Jerusalem as their Capitol, demanding the Nations to force Israel to give back what they claim is theirs by “rite” and now occupied by Israel. Why do Arab Palestinians fight for East Jerusalem when many Jewish historical landmarks, including the Temple Mount, reside there? What connection do Arab Palestinians have to the area? Or is there something else driving their ambition? Sheik Isma’il Al-Nawahdah in his sermon at the Al-Aqsa Mosque said: “Jerusalem is at the top of cities sacred to Islam.
