This podcast #172 uses some Precepts and principles from the Bible, and some Johnny Cash songs, to basically examine one American word - “marriage”. There was a statement often used in an alleged court of law, which has been whittled away at for numerous decades, that stated: “Do you promise to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth - so help me God?” On this podcast I stated I would read all of Proverbs 23:7, but I didn’t, so here’s the rest of it: “Eat and drink saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.” [Cf. Prov.23:9]  Incidentally, not telling the whole truth is not a lie, although it could be assumed that not telling the whole truth is a lie; hence the phrase “a half truth.” It is very difficult to deal with “half-truths”, aka denominationalism, than it is the truth [John 14:6] or the whole truth [John 4:23-24]. “The morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou vomit up, and lose thy sweet words.” [Prov.23:8 cf. Mark 7:14-23]
