Chrissie Endler, Executive Director from Camp del Corazon

Chrissie Endler is the Executive Director of Camp del Corazon, a non-profit in L.A. serving children with heart disease and their families through year-round programs including an overnight summer camp on Catalina Island. Camp del Corazon was founded by her mother, Nurse Lisa Knight 25 years ago. Chrissie's life is inexorably tied to summer camp. Chrissie went to camp as a child, worked as the program director for camp out of college, and was just recently promoted to the Executive Director.

She believes passionately in the power of camp to transform children's lives, giving them a sense of self that is inborn and grounded in deep personal connections with their peers away from the glow of screens, by the glow of firelight.  Chrissie goes by "Penny Lane" at camp - but when she is not running Camp del Corazon she enjoys yoga and hiking, good food and company, and cuddling with her doggie at her home in North Hollywood.
