SDG 135 The Difference Between Soul Knowledge and Spirit Knowledge

1 Corinthians 2:1-14

There's a huge difference between KNOWING ABOUT someone and KNOWING them!

Now so many people know all about God without ever KNOWING Him!

In this message we'll learn in it how to be blessed and the way to be blessed is to obey God.

Now you may be thinking, "OK, I knew there was a catch to it.”

Well the truth is the only way to be truly blessed is to obey God and there's no blessing without obedience.

So how do we obey God?

Well in order to obey we must trust.

And in order to trust God we must love God.

The point is that you can't trust anybody you don't love.

So we've got to love God in order to trust God.

Now when we love God we automatically trust Him.

So how are we going to love God?

Well we can't love a God that we don't know.

So in order to love God you've got to know God.

So think about it:

In order to be blessed we must obey.
In order to obey we must trust.
In order to trust we must love.

And, in order to love we must know.

Now, this chain of events begins with the idea of knowing God.

But there’s two ways of knowing there’s what’s known as soul knowledge and then there’s spirit knowledge.

In this message we’ll see that soul knowledge is superficial, transitory, limited and dangerous and leads to death;  whereas spirit knowledge is supernatural via revelation, inspiration and illumination and leads to everlasting life.
