In what seem to be tumultuous times, it's more important than ever to stay centered in gratitude. Not an easy task, however, when things seem to fall completely apart on us on a daily basis.
Here's the challenge: How can we be grateful, even, for things that look like landmines and bear traps in our paths? How do we look at confrontations and provocations as teachers? How do we rethink our perception to be able to look at life from a different angle, to know that EVERYTHING that comes along is a lesson, a teacher, a mentor? It's easy to be thankful for the good stuff, but what about the junk? What if it were just as simple to become thankful for that? Would that make your life easier?
When you can be grateful for something that would normally bring you pain, sorrow, or suffering, you're an alchemist, doing the work of the Saints. You're turning garbage into gold!
