October 26 - Bassist/Composer - Avery Sharpe
Born in Valdosta, Georgia, Avery Sharpe, the sixth of eight children, was taught the piano by his mother. He picked up the bass in high school; and, in 1980, joined the acclaimed McCoy Tyne Trio, and the rest is history.
