Roxanne Simone Lord, journalist, author and pastor of Peoples First Baptist Church. Pen name, “Lady Simone”, whose first novel, “The Last Castle in Brooklyn” (fiction based around a true story) got a mention in the NY Times for the historic building in Brooklyn that she wrote about in this compelling novel.  Ms. Lord is also the publisher and editor of Zen Media-Around Town Magazine, a community empowerment magazine that circulates through Queens, Brooklyn and Harlem. The magazine was cited on NY1 News as making a difference in the community. She is a youth and community rights activist with a focus on restoring the African-American family unit.

 Lady Simone has met with President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama , Judge Hatchett, Bon Jovi, Russell Simmons and more, through her literary pursuits and magazine, Around Town, which they receive monthly. She continues to be a frequent visitor to the White House and is a person who can get that difficult interview and make the guest feel comfortable enough to speak about real issues affecting our nation.
