“Autism” is a scary word for those who do not have a child or a loved one affected by it; but, for one new born in every eighty eight families it becomes a challenging reality. Understanding and accepting the developmental obstacles is a priority for those families, while learning and communication becomes a full-time dedication. Supporting and empowering individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders and encouraging their families to find realistic solutions requires a professional staff that is ready to teach vital skills and help the family unit reach their highest potential. ABLE – LA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which promotes and enhances each individual’s development, while advocating a life-time of inclusion. Join Dr. Sadigh and his special guest, Dr. Maurice Cayem, to learn how creating an environment of education, respect, kindness, and effective communication provides a positive approach in finding realistic solutions and solving issues.
Dr. Cayem is the Executive Director of ABLE – LA, a behavioral psychologist specialized in developmental disabilities, and the author of Why We Behave.
