Why Do The Youth Call Columbus "Killumbus"?

Columbus, Georgia has seen happier times and happier days and even times when months would go by without a murder...nowadays it seems like there's a killing to be had every day. With a new incoming Mayor in 2019 (Skip Henderson), what are the hopes that he will stand on his platform to bring down the crime wave in Columbus (murders included) and make this city the humble hovel that it was designed to be?
