A special 90-minute show focused on the important role that independent media—such as Natural Awakenings magazine, The Journal of Health Freedom News, Yes! Magazine, The Optimist, Utne Reader, and others—can play or is playing in making news about natural health care available to the general public. Guests are Natural Awakenings publishers in Chicago and Fort Lauderdale, as well as Scott Tips, president of National Health Federation, an international nonprofit, consumer-education, health-freedom organization working to protect individuals’ rights to choose and consume healthy food, take supplements, and use alternative therapies without government restrictions.
Other guests are Joanne Quinn, Executive Director of The Foundation for Alternative and Integrative Medicine (FAIM). The foundation assists researchers and practitioners in collecting clinical outcomes data, that can advance non-toxic, innovative, and cost-effective therapies. Ferdinando Pisani Massamormile, the International Research Consultant with FAIM is also participating in the discussion along with Dr. James Forleo, author of Health is Simple and Disease is Complicated, and Dr. Constance Casebolt, owner of Greenville Functional Medicine, as well as Sayer Ji, founder of GreenMedInfo.com, the world’s most widely referenced open access, natural medicine database.
