A government program that helps find post-service work for California National Guard members has been passed by the United States House of Representatives.
It was submitted by Representative Mark Takano (D-CA) as one-of-two amendments to a vote on the National Defense Authorization Act.
It’s known as the Work for Warriors Act (H.R. 4364), introduced with Rep. Paul Cook (R-CA). The goal is to reduce unemployment within the ranks of California National Guard members by 25 percent.
Rep. Takano will be live on InstantRiverside.com Talk Radio at 2:00 p.m. PT on Tuesday, May 27.
