When the 1984 Olympics hit Los Angeles, Héctor López was only 17. He wasn't a U.S. citizen, he represented his home country of Mexico in boxing, earning a silver medal.
Throughout his adult life, López was plagued by personal issues. He did a few prison stints before ultimately meeting a mysterious end in 2011.
On this episode of the Knuckles and Gloves podcast, Patrick Connor and Aris Pina remember López's career and discuss his troubles.
