Over the last 50 years, America's media giants have played a big role in how the image of the American family is depicted. Gone are the images of "The Cosby Show" and "Growing Pains", in are "The New Normal" and "Basketball Wives."

We are no longer focused on planning on how to make it as a collective, living unit. We are now focused on who gets the most in the divorce decree. Is that the medias fault or are they just reflecting what is dictacted by society's appetite.
