SOS_revived SPECIAL: Bernadette Cooper of Klymaxx

This is an interview that was in the vaults that I did with Ms Bernadette Cooper, founder and member of the all ladies band Klymaxx. They were a 6 member all girls group on the Solar label. At the time of this broadcast we are remembering Dick Griffey, CEO of Solar who passed away earlier in the week. I recall Ms Cooper saying good things about Mr Griffey and she was one of the last people in his circle to see him before he transitioned. Bernadette is a very special lady and a genius as far as her innovation and the way she and the other ladies created the sound we call Klymaxx. She was the FIRST "Diva" of the modern era and the attitude, the style , their showmanship and their talent made the group Klymaxx something that will go down in Soul Music history. Although I recorded this interview earlier in the year it is only fitting that I would present it on a weekend commemorating Dick Griffey.
