Erica Tucci was living a very full life. She was a corporate manager, a life coach for women, Reiki master, massage therapist and author. She was also a single mum of two wonderful young men now in college. But it all came to a screeching halt on June 10, 2011 when she suddenly had a stroke. In the flash of an eye, her life was completely changed.

The stroke totally paralysed her right side. Her throat also became constricted, severely weakening her voice. Only through vigilance, patience and support has she since begun to walk again, and regain the use of her right arm and hand. She also started doing singing exercises as a way of strengthening her throat. The doctors say her efforts are bound to help her make a full recovery with time.

This experience opened Erica's eyes to a totally new perspective on life. From having survived a most devastating ordeal, she now understood how important it is to cherish every precious moment in life. She learned how much we tend to take things for granted, and how at any given moment, something can happen to change our lives forever. Most of all, Erica learned that what begins as a challenge can in fact become a gift of profound learning.
