Emanuel was born on January 29th, 1941 in Greene Co. Alabama. At an early age, his parents taught him and his sister the importance of money. He and his sister opened a saving account at an early age. The money came from gifts received from family on birthdays and special days. In high school, he received a calf given to him as well as many farm boys throughout the Black belt of Alabama. Each boy was to care for the calf and show them later. He could deposit the profits from the calf in his account. At age 16, the junior year the first of February, he started driving a school bus and continued through his senior year. With that money, he was able to buy school supplies and save a little.
It wasn’t until his late 20’s that he got involved with the stock market. He took a mini-course and bought the book entitled HOW TO BUY STOCKS. Later he started a tax-deferred account. He bought the book ONE UP ON WALL STREET and became a member of an investment club in the late 1980s. Since that period, he has been involved with investment in some capacity reading books and other materials to increase in knowledge and make me a better investor. At present, he is working with a group of youth in the STOCK MARKET GAME for the summer.
