From "Turning Wrenches to the Red Carpet", actress Shelly Friend Starrett is guest on the One Upper Show with Cristina Walters.

Shelley was born in Nevada and moved to Southern California with her family when she was 3 years old. With a passion for mechanics she entered that career field as an adult. Toyota gave her a full scholarship and hired her as a technician. Later in her career she gained experience in diesel construction equipment and marine engines. She had a dream of pursuing acting. Realizing that we are given dreams for a reason, she decided to give it a shot. Due to her versatile look and distinctive voice she achieved success quickly in her new endeavor. She has gone from “turning wrenches to the red carpet”. Shelley always says “You never know what Hollywood is looking for. I never knew that my look was going to make me a hit in film and television. So my advice to people is to be your self. Follow your heart. Be happy, be comfortable. We only have one shot at this life. It’s up to us how we are going to live it.”
