David E. Maxwell of D.E.M. Beats Joins Cheryl

David was born in Philadelphia, PA. the oldest of seven children, 3-boys and 4-girls. Around the age of five, David found that he had a gift for music. At age nine, David was given a guitar by an older cousin. Thus, the torch was lit and the creative juices began to flow. David was Introduced to church as a young child and loved to sing. By age eleven, he learned to play many songs by ear, which landed him in his first neighborhood band. David has been a member of several groups such as, “The Persuasions”, “The North Wall Band”, “The Temporarily Unknown Band”, “Sure Fire”, “The Break of Dawn”, “Positive Vibes”, “The Back In Action Band”, and “The Friends Group”, just to name a few. Not knowing how to read sheet music at the time, David memorized all the songs he performed.David E. Maxwell
