God is Never Violent

My definition of the word “violence” in this writing is as follows: anything done intentionally or recklessly by word, action or omission that hurts God or another person.

1. Iniquity and its violence originated in Satan. Ezek 28:16.
2. Jesus never did any violence. Is 53:9. “He had done no violence neither was any deceit found in his mouth.” Jesus is the exact image of His Father. Heb 1:3. If you have seen Jesus, you have seen His Father. John 14:9. His Father does no violence either.
3. Before the flood of Noah, the earth had been corrupted because it was “filled with violence.” Gen 6:11-13.
4. God would not let some men go into the promised land because they had been “men of war (violent).” Deut 2:14-19; Josh 5:6-7.
