Shut Up and Drive

I hate people who text and drive.  I hate people who are holding their phone talking while driving 70 miles an hour on the Turnpike.  I don’t get what’s so hard about getting a $30 hands free device and using it.  You can get a really good Bluetooth headset for $9.95 on Groupon.  So what’s the difficulty?  How do we get people to put their hands on the wheel, instead of the phone?  What are the statistics now on accidents caused by cell phone use?  Who is the group most likely to cause a pileup?  And why do we all feel immortal the minute we get behind the wheel?
