He is one of the founding members of the "Party of Six", and is currently inolved in 1 of 2 major legal cases appealing the "Justifiable Need" statute in the state of New Jersey.  January 2015: The Party of 6 was born out of necessity and frustration. All the active members of this small and eclectic team have gone all the way through the NJ permitting process to obtain a permit to carry, with all being denied. Original member’s cases have all been closed out due to lack of resourcing and support from such groups as NJ2AS, ANJPRC, NRA and others. Lack of will and many attempts to work with all these groups came to quick and painful death as we learned that NJ groups are not willing to work together for the collective good.  March 2016: Brushing our slumber and regrouping, the Party of 6 was revived out of sheer will and a hell a lot of grit. He lives in La Marida Calif. where he has lived in the same home for 50 years. He lives alone and takes care of himself. Along with Lauren Bruner, will be Ed McGrath and Mark Comon. Out of the 1512 crewmembers of USS Arizona less than 100 of the 325 survivors were aboard ship the morning of the attack on Pearl Harbor. According to military historians Lauren was the Second to the Last to Leave USS Arizona, which is also the title of his upcoming Historical Novel, which will be released this summer. Lauren and Ed have co-founded the Lauren F. Bruner USS Arizona Memorial Foundation, which is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation that was established in 2015. Mark Comon who will also call in on Tuesday is one of the foundations Board Members and as well Lauren’s friend and Chief Photographer. The Mission Statements of Lauren’s Foundation is to honor the crew of USS Arizona for all time and for all future generations; To aid the National Park Service in specific projects that need attention that only pertain to the USS Arizona Memorial; and to aid Military families both in and out of Hawaii who may need a helping hand. Lauren Bruner’s Dream Gift to America is close to his heart as it involves the researching of each and every Arizona Crewmembers personal histories written into a biography and then married to a portrait of each of the 1512 crew members which when completed will be offered to the National Park Service at Pearl Harbor. Before working as a interpreter, Javed worked as a sales representative for Coca Cola. After serving as a terp, Javed taught English language classes at the Effortless English Club in Kabul, Afghanistan (2014-2016). Javed's hobbies and interests include studying different books, playing volleyball and debating about cutlture, history and politics. Something he is very good with as he and Stew spent countleess hours on patrol together discussiong all of these topics, among others, cracking jokes and learnign about each other's family. Colonel USMC (Retired) / Author / Student of American History and the Constitution Bill Coate’s career in the military began soon after graduation from high school, when he enlisted in the Marine Corps. Following the end of his contract, He left active service to pursue a degree at Eastern Montana College. It was there that he joined the Platoon Leaders Class and was subsequently commissioned as a second lieutenant after graduation in December 1985. His Military career has spanned three decades, and included duty stations all over the world, from Australia to the Middle East with combat deployments to East Timor and Iraq. Career highlights to include commanding at all levels from captain to colonel. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, Bill was the Iraq All Source Team Chief before deploying to Iraq and establishing the National Intelligence Center in Baghdad. He later served as a battalion commander in Al Anbar province from May 2005-February 2006. His final duty station was in Dam Neck, VA where he was the commanding officer of the Marine Corps Intelligence Schools, and served there until his retirement in 2011. Bill’s service to our great nation lives on through his work with the Mighty Oaks Warrior Programs. His mission now is to reach our nation’s Warriors who are struggling with the challenges of post combat trauma. After Completing Infantry School, Airborne School and attended Ranger Indoctrination Program he went to the 82nd Airborne Division were he received his expert infantryman’s badge and deployed to Baghdad Iraq twice   Later he was assigned to detailed corporal recruiting at the Syracuse Recruiting Battalion, while assigned he was among the top 10% of all recruiters in New York fiscal year 2007 and received the coveted Gold recruiter ring as well as being promoted meritoriously to Staff Sergeant. After Recruiting Staff Sergeant Payne attended SFAS (Special Forces Assessment and Selection Course) while assigned to the 173rd Airborne Division, he was injured as a result of training and reassigned to the Southern European Task Force working Personnel Recovery for the United States Army Africa Command. He was selected for Army Civil Affairs but was later reassigned to the 10th Mountain Infantry Division and deployed to Southern Afghanistan. On July 3rd 2011 he was tasked to clear out dead space, thirty minutes into the patrol his unit was attacked with an IED which resulted in the loss of both his legs and severely damaging his left arm. As a result of the attack SSG Payne receive approximately 120 surgeries, 100 blood transfusions and a shattered mind set. He fell back onto the values he learned as a Private;  the values have an acronym L.D.R.S.H.I.P. and he took it to the extreme conquering smoking, medication addiction, depression and suicide. He had a near death experience and experienced things which pushes him to do the best of his ability. Three years after Injury he retired, wrote his story and shares it with whoever is willing to listen. Tug was born into an Army family in 1980 and raised in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. He joined the Royal Engineers September 1997 (Age17) specialised in mine warfare, demolishions and communications. Tug then transferred to the Royal Army Medical Corps in 2003 and posted to 23 Air Assault Medical Sqn to support the Parachute Battalions. In early 2015, the U.S. Army initiated what has been deemed by those close to Amerine as a retaliatory criminal investigation for his work aimed at improving hostage rescue procedures.
