As we prepare for the September 1, 2018 Conference on Peace in Evanston at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1818 Maple Avenue, Evanston Illinois, to address issues pertaining to the Role of Women in Society, we must examine the widespread culture of gender inequality among women of African, Asian and European descent. Women learn in childhood to believe they are the infereior sex, and they in turn teach this belief to their daughters by accepting verbal, and often physical abuse in the home. How can we have peace in the world if we don't address the conflict between men and women, and the centuries of abuse perpetrated in the name of religion and cultural tradition? How can we change cultural traditions in which women accept and promote their own inferiority? Our guest today is Teresa Johnson, International Women's Peace Group (IWPG) Chicago Branch Manager, andHeavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) Liaison.
