I am a Certificated Nursing Assistant and specialize in the care of Dementia and Alzheimer patients. I absolutely love the health care field and am constantly researching and learning. Most definitely LOVE sharing knowledge gained and gaining said knowledge through discussion. Tonight we will discuss zoonosis is any disease or infection that is naturally transmissible from vertebrate animals to humans. Animals thus play an essential role in maintaining zoonotic infections in nature. Zoonoses may be bacterial, viral, or parasitic, or may involve unconventional agents. As well as being a public health problem, many of the major zoonotic diseases prevent the efficient production of food of animal origin and create obstacles to international trade in animal products. We will also discuss Infectious diseases are caused by pathogenic microorganisms, such as bacteria, viruses, parasites or fungi; the diseases can be spread, directly or indirectly, from one person to another.
