A Minneapolis MN native, Serious, is a R&B/Soul Vocalist and Song Writer,who is well known for bringing "down the house" when she performs. "Serious" was given that beautiful and unique name by her mother after she almost lost Serious while giving birth to her. Serious is the eldest female out of six siblings originally from Omaha,NE. Serious has several accomplished celebrity family members such as: Gabrielle Union, John Beasley. Serious humble beginning began in the church choir at the of age 6, then onto local live performances with her High School's choir. She later enrolled in Normandale Community College and the McPhail Center for music where she was trained vocally in Jazz,R&B and Classical. She enjoys singing and listening to large variety of music from Gospel to Country. She gets her musical and vocal inspiration from great artist such as: Whitney houston, Toni Braxton, Anita Baker, Ella Fitzgerald, Billy holiday, Dinah Washignton, Yalonda Adams, Leona Lewis and Carrie Underwood. Serious was accepted into John Roberts Powers school where she is currently taking Acting and Commercial Modeling classes. She is currently working on numerous projects which includes a R&b Soul and Hip Hop CD; which she plans to use to get the attention of reputable and prestigious Record companies and take her music mainstream.
