On Critical Discourse last week, we reviewed the potential impact on the voters, of the push by governors of a number of states, to require I.D.s in order to register to vote. Obviously, the controversy hasn't gone away, with charges still being lobbed by Democrats, that the measures are a way to suppress the votes of black people and the elderly, to name two.
In fact, the NAACP is sponsoring a rally in NYC, to decry what they see as a long-term attempt by the right-wing, to disenfranchise black people, youth, Native Americans, working women and immigrants. In fact, here's an excerpt from the promotional e-mail:

Tune in on Saturday, December 10th, to discuss again, the issue of voter I.D. requirements. Are they fair? Underhanded? Is there any relevance of a right-wing conspiracy to prevent the aforementioned, from exercising their right to vote?
Let's hear what you've got to say. Come prepared with energy and facts.
