About the Author:
Mario D. King is the owner and operator of MDK Entertainment. His passion for communication and diverse cultures has introduced Mario to a new mission to uplift minds through word and film. His three year goal—to spark an educational revolution through action and literacy.
Mario spends a great amount of time with the imaginings of romantic relationship development and took inspiration from the 1997 film Love Jones and its unorthodox romance to write his hip hop novella, The Crisis Before Midlife was a hit with fans which debut in 2013.
He received “Shakespeare Trophy of Excellence” and “Poet of the Year” in 2002. He also won the Black Writers And Book Clubs “Author of the Year” award in 2013.
Mario received his bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he deeply studied global culture and communication, psychology and sociology. He received his MBA from Kaplan University and will continue to stir up change and motivate those whom he comes in contact with.
About the Book:
Malcolm Turner is a single father with the weight of the world on his shoulders. As he approaches the age of 30, he finds himself having an identity crisis, as well as lacking in self-confidence and begins to feel the pressure of becoming the man he is meant to be. In the midst of being a single father—Malcolm finds himself trying to juggle relationships, friendships, and family all while trying to find some spiritual peace in the journey called: The Crisis before Midlife.
