Juneteenth a celebration in the African American Community celebrating their freedom.  On June 19, 1865 the Black Texans learned two years after the Emancipation Proclamation that they were legally free.

Juneteenth is celebrated world wide, but how many youth regardless of race know the history of why Juneteenth is celebrated and the significance of it.  

In remembrance of  Juneteenth we will discuss the history of that day and explore a question from a BKS1RADIO.COM Listener Dee Dee Graham.
