Marcia Naomi Berger (nee Fisch), MSW, LCSW,worked for the city and county of San Francisco in child welfare, alcoholism, and psychiatry settings. She served on the clinical faculty of the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine, and as executive director of Jewish Family and Children's Services of the East Bay, Oakland, California.

Soon after marrying, she and her husband David began holding weekly marriage meetings. Nearly twenty-six years later, they continue to hold them. She says,"I treasure our time to reconnect every week. We express appreciation, coordinate chores, plan dates, and talk about any concern. Our meetings provide closure, which means no grudges.

Berger leads marriage meeting workshops for couples, teaches classes for therapists at local universities, and is a popular speaker at conferences and retreats. She has been interviewed on radio stations throughout the USA. She has a private psychotherapy and consulting practice in San Rafael, California.

Berger's mission is to help couples everywhere create the relationship they've always wanted - a union that fosters the emotional and spiritual growth of both partners and lasts a lifetime.
