Before anything else, you need to know. www.billystritch.com.  You'll want to keep that handy ;)  You have to know as much as you can about this amazing talent who is taking the time to grace our show on 12/8/2020.

Billy Stritch has been working his singing and piano magic for YEARS. He's a respected award winner - including Grammy and Tony. In digging through his thrilling resume, yours truly sat back and marveled at a song that he wrote with Sandy Knox a few decades ago. How many times did your Jazz host here play "Does He Love You" on Country Radio? COUNTLESS. Billy wrote that and took it to #1 on Billboard. Courtesy of Reba McEntire & Linda Davis. How WELL I know that song.

Here's someone else who knows BILLY: Liza Minnelli. Friends and musical partners for years. Oh - Tony Bennett, too. Our multi-talented Gentleman of the Hour was Tony's music director several times. When he wasn't playing at Lincoln Center or Carnegie Hall. When he wasn't singing and playing on too-numerous-to-mention TV shows.

This respected/revered/beloved artist is considered one of THE premier vocalist/pianists based in the Big Apple - and known internationally in Jazz and cabaret circles. When his "Golden Touch" is on ANY project, critics melt. How do I know this in a special way? Linda Lavin's visit to "Hybrid Jazz" this year. She couldn't say ENOUGH about her friend and frequent music collaborator. And Linda's word is ALSO gold!

Two albums are the reason why we're welcoming Billy to the show. One is his solo piano project, "Billy's Place." The other is a fabulous holiday treasure with Jim Caruso & Klea Blackhurst (with guests!). "Christmas At Birdland." You already KNOW, right?! ;)

Join us on 12/8/2020 and feel the holiday season as you might not have expected. Music starts at NOON Eastern!
