One of the most overlooked methods of using the value of intellectual property is to secure funding. Royalty monetization transactions are becoming more common as the cash flows from IP licensing are growing.  Royalty financing deals have increased significantly, from $500 million in 2003, to more than $4 billion in 2008. Some high-profile examples of these transactions are the securitized royalty streams on the copyrights from songwriters David Bowie and James Brown.

Join us on Wed. Sept 11th at 11AM Pacific for a conversation with David Drews and Daryl Martin of IP Metrics, and IP valuation firm. IP Metrics offers a full range of valuation services for patents, trademarks, copyrights and other intangible assets. We'll be discussing securitizing licensing royalty payments, and how intellectual property can be used as collateral for loans or other form of financing.
