The Story of Aaron Sandusky - A Victim of 21st Century Reefer Madness -

Legalization maybe spreading across the U.S.A., but many are still incarcerated even though marijuana can now be legally purchased down the street from where they are imprisoned. Aaron Sandusky was one of those caught up in 21st century reefer madness and serving a significant part of his life in prison as a result.

Aaron was the president of a MMJ business based out of Upland, Ca known as G3 Holistic.  G3 operated 3 retail locations in Upland, Colton and Moreno Valley.  G3 also had a 40k sq. ft. cultivation facility in Ontario, Ca.

G3 was raided by the feds on November 11, 2011. This raid subsequently resulted in the arrest and trial of Aaron Sandusky and five employees in 2012.

During his trial, no evidence of state law could be considered by the Jury. G3 was operating under the protection of the CA state court in a case that was before the CA Supreme court over zoning; G3 Holistic vs Upland CA.  While waiting for this case to be heard before the courts, the city of Upland reached out to the US attorney office in the central district asking for assistance in shutting down G3.

Facing a mandatory minimum of 10 years and a maximum of life, Aaron refused to take a deal as it involved him working for the Feds to take down growers whom G3 worked with. He was convicted at trial and sentenced to 10yrs, the mandatory minimum. Aaron was recently released from federal prison on November 13th and was placed on house arrest until March 12th. He is now on supervised release for 5 years.

Aaron will provide a very personal view of what happened when he was raided, the kangaroo court which conducted his trial, the 7+ years in spent in prison and what life is like now that he is out
