Hello Rhymes Media Group Fam, it's another #IndependentMediaMonday. The guest for February 20th, 12pm CST, is Cinzia Arruzza Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the New School for Social Research and writer for Jacobin Magazine - a leading voice of the American left, offering socialist perspectives on politics, economics, and culture.
Professor Arruzza is the author of the books Dangerous Liaisons: The Marriages and Divorces of Marxism and Feminism and The Misadventures (Mishaps) of the theodicy. Plotinus, Origen, Gregory of Nyssa. Her work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals such as The Journal of the Society for Greek Political Thought, Historical Materialism and History of Political Thought. She has also co-edited, along with, Dmitri Nikulin, Philosophy and Political Power in Antiquity.
Dr. Rhymes and Dr. Arruzza will be discussing, among her recent writings, the March 8th, International Women's Strike NYC - a coalition representing dozens of grassroots groups and labor organizations - organizing a number of actions in support of labor campaigns, migrants' rights, Sanctuary Campus campaigns, and others.
