Bob Calvert of Talking with Heroes

Bob Calvert comes out of a strong military family and is the Founder and Host of the Talking with Heroes Talk Show www.talkingwithheroes.com and the Editor of their Online News Site www.thankyouforyourservice.us

He raised his daughter by himself from the time she was 2 and a half. Nine years ago at 18 years old she surprised him by enlisting in the Army. Her then boyfriend (now husband) had already enlisted. He had no real personal experience with service in the military and realized he would have to learn how to support her as a soldier in the Army.

In Dec 2005 at the suggestion of a SGT and Special Forces Soldier he started the Talking with Heroes talk show. Over about two years he has interviewed many military personnel, Veterans, Gold Star Families, and military support and Veterans groups via phone and broadcast live on the internet.

In 2006 and 2007 he made three trips to Iraq with our troops. In April/May 2010 he made his first trip to Afghanistan with Ft Carson’s 4BCT 4ID. All those videos and more are on www.youtube.com/bobc9246.

Bob feels it is important for us as Americans to be able to set aside politics and do everything we can to support our troops and their families, our veterans and their families, the wounded and more, and will share his work with us.
