Hi, and welcome to our Autism Awareness Radio Show. We are parents of a beautiful redheaded daughter named Candace who has autism. We would like to invite you to listen to our Autism Awareness Radio Show "The Candy Store" on Blog Talk Radio named after our beautiful redheaded 12 year old daughter Candace/Candy. Our show is full of information, inspiration, autism awareness, music, art and fun. You might also laugh and get your mind off your problems for awhile. Our Mission is to empower other parents with knowledge. Our Special Guest: Dr. Sarina Grosswald, EdD is the Director of Arlington Transcendental Meditation Center. Today we will discuss Transcendental Meditation for the autism community and stress relief. Dr. Grosswald received a Doctorate in Education from George Washington University, specializing in adult learning and human resource development, and a Masters in Education from the University of North Carolina. She recently directed a landmark research study into the effects of the Transcendental Meditation program on children with ADHD and language-based learning disabilities. Her recent research has been featured in Business Week, Newsweek, International Herald Tribune, Barron's, and the Washington Examiner, ABC news, PBS, as well as on national radio shows.
