As the founder of, and bassist for Groove Skool Band, Christian "Big New York" de Mesones continues a more than thirty year musical journey that includes authoring, performing, and recording original music. Christian graduated from the Bass Institute of Technology in 1980. As an 18-year-old student, he had the opportunity to workshop and perform with Louis Johnson, Abraham Laboriel, Pat Martino, Tim Bogart, Stanley Clarke, and the late great Ray Brown and Tommy Tedesco.
