The Craft is a learning opportunity. The grail we all aspire toward, some level of transformation to a better person is unclear, as is the way one achieves it. As you will find, this is not a short-cut. It is a thought map designed to shape behaviour. I"m inclined to think it places us in an atmosphere of arguments about truth. There is room at this table for one more. A new language, emphasis on control of emotion, it is more like finishing school that combat training. MasonicFX is simply and extension of that. An acquired taste where conversation is about possibilities. Sit in as you like. We stumble along, still trying to find the edge of this interesting universe!

Freemasonry being one. It's a belief system. Why did we choose this particular system? That's a question for the gods to answer if the man doesn't. Why some men follow a belief system of domination while others tap in to the power of metaphysics? I wish I knew. We experience the results of beliefs, but what makes certain ideas 'belief system'? In this article let's make an attempt. There are variatons: Experential, Religious, Myths and Sacred Stories, Ritual and Worship, Religious Community, Art Sacred Entities and Architectures, Ethical. The simplelist answer for why might be exposure at an early age. The people who were involved in our lives when we were children are powerful influences. Whether we go on to align with other beliefs as we age, the early influences are part of the individual equation. I can't explain why someone connects and commits to one and not others. Judging which is better or best is only a quick reflection that happens in hindsight. What a man makes of a belief system is greatly influenced by intelligence and personality. How much thought and how those thoughts are put together weaves a story, his story, his relationship with the world around. So it isn't the belief system per se, but the way it is employed that defines how we experience others. If we speak about zealots it may influence opinion but it doesn't declare the superiority of one belief system over another. But zealots have difficulty acknowledge other thoughts, other opinions might existd parallel their own. When some people ignore the effect of the their manner on others, we refer to psychopathology when they attempt to dominant the agency of all others. If it looks like paranoia and sounds like paranoia it is paranoia. But I digress. Just putting our beliefs in context with other systems is interesting. Now we can ask why? Maybe we will even reconsider another, in a way we had not.
