Christy Alia is a seasoned pizzaiola and champion of aspiring pizzaiolas everywhere. Her earliest memories are alongside her Sicilian-born grandfather, Angelo, kneading pizza and bread dough. Under his guidance, Christy learned the art of handling dough precisely, and Angelo instilled in her a deep appreciation for unwavering standards. In 2020, Christy created the @RealCleverFood Instagram account to share insights, inspire others, and showcase her dough artistry. In March 2021, she founded the #WomensPizzaMonth campaign, a global celebration that invites the Instagram community to create and dedicate pizzas to inspiring women. Christy extends her passion for pizza beyond the digital landscape. Through an interactive podcast and club events, she imparts her knowledge to home pizza makers, aiding them in refining their skills. Christy also teaches private pizza and sourdough bread classes, serves as a pizza consultant and recipe developer and contributes to charitable endeavors in her community.
